2008 FALL HAULING PROCEDURES
PER OUR PREVIOUS NOTICE, THE DEADLINE FOR SCHEDULING FALL HAULS WAS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH. IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, PLEASE CONTACT ROBERTA HANNA IN THE CLUB OFFICE IMMEDIATELY TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ARRANGEMENTS.
Owners of boats 30’ LOA or longer, including swim platforms and bowsprits, must ensure that their haul is scheduled within four hours before or after high tide.
To minimize issues with blocking boats, please also advise Roberta which week between the weeks April 27th and June 8th next year, you wish to be launched. Please note especially that, in the event you are blocking other boats in the yard, you will be subject to a $250 charge for moving your boat if you are not launched by May 1st
Per the Club’s Rules & Regulations, you must report to the Yard Manager at least two hours prior to your scheduled haul and be tied up either on the inside of G Dock or standing by in the bay area with your engines running at the time of your scheduled haul.
Subject to prior arrangement with the Club Office and Yard Manager, you may, at your own risk, berth your boat on the haul docks the evening prior to the day you are scheduled for haul and need not be present. Otherwise, you or your representative and at least one other crew member must be present to assist with the haul.
If your boat is not hauled in accordance with the schedule determined by the Club office, you will be charged $100 per day until such time as your boat is hauled.
Power and water service to the docks will be terminated on or about October 15th. If you have not made arrangements for winter storage in the Club yard, you must vacate the marina no later than October 15th.
ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CLUB PREMISES ON OR BEFORE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15TH.
In the event any personal property is not removed by that date, the Club will assume ownership rights to the property until such time as all charges, including interest charges, for relocating and storing the property are paid in full.
In no event, will the Club assume any liability for any damage to or the loss of such personal property.
2008 – 2009 WINTER LAND STORAGE
If you are interested in winter land storage, please complete a Leasing Contract and deliver it to the Club Office at your earliest convenience.
The Club will not countersign this Contract until such time we are able to confirm that we will be able to accommodate your boat. However, assuming appropriate space is available in the yard, priority will be given in the order in which the Leasing Contracts are received.
When we have determined whether or not we can accommodate your boat, we will notify you. If appropriate space is available, the rental fee must be paid in full before the Contract is countersigned.
Rental fees for 2008 – 2009 winter storage are $30 per foot for powerboats and $35 per foot for sailboats. These fees include one haul and one launch.
Owners of blocking boats must be prepared to launch no later than the date communicated to them in writing in early April 2009. As of May 1, 2009, blocking boat owners will be subject to a $250 charge for moving their boat to a temporary location within the yard as and when necessary.
